it is good for an organization to expect virtue (or at the very least, lack of vice) from its members there is no such thing as compartmentalization of vices. people who flagrantly disregard their deepest personal commitments are untrustworthy, whether or not the behavior occurs off the clock after the scarf discourse i’m not surprised to see that my perspective is in the minority
