Every so often I see a company that doesn’t call out red flags early with their board or team. They either don’t see the issues, or they are glossing over them. Both are dangerous. The companies I worry about most are not those with high burn or slow growth. I worry about the ones that don’t highlight red flags early and put in place aggressive plans to address those issues immediately. Call it out. Face it head on. It is the only way. And it builds trust.
