SPACEX PRESENTA STARLINK COMO EL GPS 2.0 DE ESTADOS UNIDOS
En una carta a la FCC, SpaceX presentó su caso más claro hasta el momento:
Starlink no es solo para banda ancha, también está listo para brindar servicios de posicionamiento, navegación y temporización (PNT).
Dado que el sistema GPS de EE.UU. depende del Departamento de Defensa, la FCC está considerando refuerzos.
SpaceX dice que la flota de órbita terrestre baja de Starlink ya funciona independientemente del GPS y puede proporcionar PNT resistente y seguro a nivel mundial, incluso en su próximo servicio directo a celular de T-Mobile.
El impulso se produce cuando rivales como Globalstar también hacen su jugada.
