SPACEX PITCHES STARLINK AS AMERICA’S GPS 2.0 In a letter to the FCC, SpaceX made its clearest case yet: Starlink isn’t just for broadband—it’s ready to deliver Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) services, too. With the U.S. GPS system reliant on the Defense Department, the FCC is eyeing backups. SpaceX says Starlink’s low-Earth orbit fleet already runs independent of GPS and can provide resilient, secure PNT globally—including in its upcoming T-Mobile direct-to-cell service. The push comes as rivals like Globalstar also make their play. @Starlink just entered the GPS ring. Source: @Teslarati
