SPACEX LANÇA STARLINK COMO GPS 2.0 DA AMÉRICA
Em uma carta à FCC, a SpaceX apresentou seu caso mais claro até agora:
O Starlink não é apenas para banda larga - ele também está pronto para fornecer serviços de posicionamento, navegação e temporização (PNT).
Com o sistema GPS dos EUA dependente do Departamento de Defesa, a FCC está de olho em backups.
A SpaceX diz que a frota de órbita baixa da Terra da Starlink já funciona independentemente do GPS e pode fornecer PNT resiliente e seguro globalmente - inclusive em seu próximo serviço direto para celular da T-Mobile.
O impulso ocorre quando rivais como a Globalstar também fazem sua jogada.
@Starlink acabou de entrar no anel GPS.
