How many models do we have to see demonstrating superficial intelligence but utterly failing at long running, contextual understanding for people to wake up and realize that AI is just another tool? I'd rather see infinite customization of existing interfaces that make permenant changes that remain static rather than on-the-fly generated interfaces. If I could tell Evernote on my phone to get rid of the stupid AI button and give me back bold, italics, bullet point and highlight, instead of burying them under a menu, I would gladly pay for that feature.

Love that folks are experimenting with stuff like stringing together scenes coherently. That's the future of film making. Nobody is going to generate a two hour film and then go back to see if it's any good. Waste of time. AI moves bottlenecks to problem definition and verification. Better to have small atomic changes that a small team can control tightly.

I thought actors and Hollywood were cooked? Seems like great acting is about to get a second life with motion capture 2.0, aka suitless motion capture. One of these days people will wake up to the fact that AI is just another tool and not a God or a magic solution to anything.
