How many more model releases do we need for folks to realize we are not getting to magical superintelligence with what we got?
How many times do you have to see a model benchmaxxing to realize Humanity's Last Exam is a freaking idiotic name and that answering questions on it doesn't tell us shit about the true intelligence of the model?
How many models do we have to see demonstrating superficial intelligence but utterly failing at long running, contextual understanding for people to wake up and realize that AI is just another tool?
A good tool, a useful tool, a wonderful tool but not magic and not the end of all jobs and not the end of humanity or any other absurd fantasy of fools and dreamers.
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

The battle between open and closed is eternal. Golden era civilizations embrace openness, inquisitiveness and the future and civilizations in decline go rigid, close up and look to the past.

It’s time for the American AI community to wake up, drop the "open is not safe" bullshit, and return to its roots: open science and open-source AI, powered by an unmatched community of frontier labs, big tech, startups, universities, and non‑profits.
If we don’t, we’ll be forced to build on foreign foundations and risk losing the race in AI altogether by lack of local innovation and competition.
Let’s go!

The best open-source AI model just dropped a detailed report on how it was trained, a rare resource for students given no frontier lab is publishing!
Kimi K2's estimated total cost of training is ~$20-30M, roughly in line with pricing: $0.6/M in $2.5/M out tokens.

I'd rather see infinite customization of existing interfaces that make permenant changes that remain static rather than on-the-fly generated interfaces.
If I could tell Evernote on my phone to get rid of the stupid AI button and give me back bold, italics, bullet point and highlight, instead of burying them under a menu, I would gladly pay for that feature.

Love that folks are experimenting with stuff like stringing together scenes coherently.
That's the future of film making.
Nobody is going to generate a two hour film and then go back to see if it's any good. Waste of time.
AI moves bottlenecks to problem definition and verification.
Better to have small atomic changes that a small team can control tightly.

First try making a continuous walk and talk by combining 3 videos. // @midjourney -> Veo 3 -> Premiere Pro
I’ve switched to using JSON prompts in Veo 3 because it’s more organized, tho sometimes trad prompts help fix issues. Sample prompt below.

I thought actors and Hollywood were cooked? Seems like great acting is about to get a second life with motion capture 2.0, aka suitless motion capture.
One of these days people will wake up to the fact that AI is just another tool and not a God or a magic solution to anything.

Runway Just Dropped “ACT TWO” - And It Changes Everything (actually tho)
It’s full-on AI / human HYBRID performance acting:
- It lip-syncs your voice
- It copies your motion and timing
- It transforms you into *any* character - even non-human
No green screen. No fancy setup. Just a video of you and one image or clip to guide the look.
Kudos @runwayml
