A SpaceX acabou de disparar seu tiro - está planejando substituir o GPS!
Em uma apresentação à FCC, a SpaceX revelou que seu enxame de satélites está pronto para fornecer PNT (Posicionamento, Navegação, Tempo) global - mais rápido, mais seguro e independente do Pentágono.
Aqui está o que está em órbita:
• Energia sem GPS – A frota de órbita baixa da Starlink funciona sozinha, sem necessidade de sinal militar.
• Global Lock-On – Rastreamento resiliente e seguro em qualquer lugar da Terra.
• Pronto para Direct-to-Phone – Construído para alimentar serviços como o plano de mensagens de texto espaciais da T-Mobile.

SPACEX PITCHES STARLINK AS AMERICA’S GPS 2.0
In a letter to the FCC, SpaceX made its clearest case yet:
Starlink isn’t just for broadband—it’s ready to deliver Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) services, too.
With the U.S. GPS system reliant on the Defense Department, the FCC is eyeing backups.
SpaceX says Starlink’s low-Earth orbit fleet already runs independent of GPS and can provide resilient, secure PNT globally—including in its upcoming T-Mobile direct-to-cell service.
The push comes as rivals like Globalstar also make their play.
