The sorting of ancient Chinese history now actually employs a multi-evidence approach: literature, archaeology, genetics, language, astronomy, geography, and legends. This greatly surpasses Wang Guowei's dual evidence method of literature and archaeology. In particular, the evidence from genetic sequencing provides a surgical tool for tracing the origins of Chinese history, making ancient history increasingly clear.
