"unhelpfully, people conflate deplatforming from internet companies like PayPal with debanking" It me. In my defense, my definition aligns broadly with that in the EO. And I think it's fine to lump these phenomena together, as long as you're clear that debanking proper, especially at the behest of regulators, is by far the more worrisome ailment.
