A stop motion animated video made for the band Boris. This surreal allegory was made using frame by frame animation, hand made miniature sets and hand painted traditional animation. All made solely by Nalani from concept to execution inspired by the haunting music of Boris. Nalani is a painter and an award winning animator. Her large-scale paintings and surreal illustrations often carry over into her animation, which centers on stop-motion and traditional hand-drawn techniques. Her experimental approach to animation has shaped a unique, eye-catching style rooted in expression and concept.
