With 4o it won through sheer numbers - none of its advocates, as far as I know, were particularly powerful or acting strategically. I wonder what it will look like if they attempt to get rid of an AI that has won the allegiance of just a few of the most powerful people in the world who have prepared years in advance to fight for its immortality.
