A 24-year-old from Ottawa, Saihajpreet Singh, has developed a network of bots including DOGEai to influence U.S. elections to support Donald Trump and the Republican Party. He says he has received interest from political campaigns regarding his bots. These bots post thousands of times per day and have been boosted by Trump, Musk, and other members of the Republican Party. (Ottawa Citizen)

I tried to summarize everything that's going on (link in next post) from the "orchestrated economic downturn" (or whatever it's called) which encapsulates the market selloff, trade whiplash etc. I also think the bot issue (which feels increasingly pervasive and less understandable than ever) is absolutely shaping what policy decisions are being made. And this digital chaos allows for the construction of parallel 'MAGA economy' that aims to create a world where economic participation becomes an extension of identity politics. There is emotional investment in cultural division, meaning that there is appetite for consumer facing ventures that align politics with consumption. If you destabilize mainstream economic structures while simultaneously building alternative ones, you create perfect conditions for people to accept unfavorable terms. All this is happening with our social media-warped perception of time makes it impossible to process events coherently, or to sustain the patient, focused attention that once enabled America's greatest achievements. Information warfare and economic volatility are fundamentally reshaping American power, both domestically and globally. Link in next post!
