The token and the tech are two separate businesses in Web3, and they’ll stay that way for the next few years. Over time they’ll be more aligned, but right now making a token successful is an entirely different game from building great tech. The best tech teams often miss this, and it’s why they’re frustrated watching “vaporware” tokens outperform them. It’ll be great when tech and token success converge. Until then, the teams that win are the ones that treat them as separate and run each like its own business.
