FAssets Security & Timeline Update A few weeks ago @hugophilion mentioned the strong institutional interest we’ve seen in XRP staking on Flare through Firelight, demonstrated by announcements from VivoPower and Uphold. In order to guarantee the greatest potential for FXRP and Flare, we have been working to further increase the security of the FXRP protocol. The FXRP codebase has been stripped down and is now at version v1.2. Reducing the size of the codebase means lower complexity and fewer possible points of failure. This is part of our ongoing approach to security: keep refining, keep testing, keep hardening. This has minimal impact on our timelines: • Now: v1.2 is with one of the best auditors in the industry. Report due mid-August. • Next: launch v1.2 on Songbird right after the audit comes back. • At the same time: run the Code4rena competition to get even more eyes on the code. • Final step: once Code4rena wraps and any findings are addressed, launch on Flare. TLDR; Minimal impact on timeline (a few weeks) for sizeable security upside which ultimately translates to sizeable potential TVL upside.
