back in 2016 when i was in the minor leagues with the st. louis cardinals, one night some of the younger guys were out at the bars and needed a ride home. i was sober at the hotel but offered to drive over, pick them up, and take them home. they wanted to make it up to me, but i said don't worry about it. instead, how about if any of you happen to go on to become a superstar and make over $100 million in your baseball career, just give me $1 million and we'll call it even. they all agreed. i think a couple of those guys are on track right now. i won't name names, and i won't try to collect either, just a funny story to never sell yourself short! 😂😂
