In April 2024, I connected with @NFT1nsight over Twitter DMs, just chatting about TCGs & collectibles. At the time, I had no idea he was one of the founding members of @chimpershq. He mentioned the first Chimpers card set drop, and I thought it sounded cool, but I didn’t realise then that it would kick off what’s now a full-blown obsession with Chimpers cards. Over the next few months, Insight was incredibly patient, always taking time to answer every question I had about the Chimpers ecosystem. That kind of hands-on approach from a founder is rare, and it really stuck with me. Naturally, I started wanting a Chimp of my own, but at the time, I couldn’t afford getting one. Then came the Festive Frens drop. If you completed the full set, you’d be entered into a raffle to win a Chimp. It felt like the perfect shot, so I went for it. I completed my set, crossed my fingers, and waited. Christmas came around, and somehow, the stars aligned, I won the raffle! Just like that, Chimp #1865 became mine. It felt surreal. Since then, I’ve watched the Chimpers team pull off incredible things from building a strong social media presence, expanding the collectible card drops, launching plushies and always showing up for the community in ways that matter. Massive respect to @TimpersHD, Insight, and everyone else behind the scenes for doing this consistently. It’s not something you see every day. Fast forward to now, I’ve officially have to say goodbye to #1865. It’s bittersweet, but I’m excited to have upgraded to Chimp #3900. It feels like a new chapter. I’ve been part of a lot of communities in web3, but this one? It’s different. I’m proud to be a part of it, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. LFCHIMP 🫡
