I’ve gotten away with literally just hiring backend devs, 0 frontend or dedicated infra whatsoever, and it’s been totally fine. They mostly knew infra already and FE can throw ai at I had a suspicion backend engineering was the only real kind but nice to confirm it

Started as “hmm I’m sure I’ll need fe engineer at some point but let me see how far I can get on my own before I run into something I can’t handle” and just never hit that point
