There is an energy floor for dissipative computations like machine learning though. Thermo + reversible together will get closer to this floor. Most of the energy will indeed be consumed by robot motors rather than silicon brains

There is no 'energy floor' for computation because operations can be made reversible. In contrast robots need one joule for every newton-meter of force, no matter what. I think future energy consumption will be dominated by matter manipulation over information manipulation.
