One fascinating thing about PFP collections, something that’s hard to replicate with purely digital art, is the lore and culture that emerge around them. I say this because sometimes PFPs don't get the love from purely "Art collectors". I remember when Nakamigos minted. It was a cheap, low-profile drop, mostly minted by mfers. But over the span of a month, it built a surprising amount of lore—Beeple inserts, big-name buyers, layers of mystery, and a wave of memes. It’s a unique example, but you see the same pattern in collections ranging from mfers and BAYC to Tubby Cats and Regulars. Looking back, PFP collections feel like a form of performance art—something no other medium in art history has really been able to capture. They’re alive, shaped by community and amplified by network effects. I'm very excited to see what lore and culture develops for @OnChainAllStars .
