Over the last week, we’ve approved appeals and double checked user’s wallets, pools and fees. All of our progress has been updated into the points system, with a summary: This has been a long time coming, and we want to take this chance to look back on the history of Meteora points. A Brief History of Meteora Points. Points were first introduced by Ben Chow, called the LP Stimulus Plan, clearly laying out a system of Multipliers and Points calculations to promote users to learn how to use DLMM and Meteora. This sparked a historic rise of the LP Army, and Meteora’s growth as a result, kicking off with JUP’s TGE, the first of it’s kind on Meteora DLMM. After more than a year, @0xSoju and @realdezen would propose the first set of changes in the Amendments to the LP Stimulus Plan, crucially bumping up the allocation from 10% to 15%, and abolishing the multiplier system that led to points being too top-heavy and overly complex. The major theme of the amendment is to promote retail participation, by introducing a Launch Pool segment to reduce dilution from deployers, remove the multiplier system that would make it more top-heavy, the flat bonus system and also introduce the 2024/2025 split. A few months later, on June 30th, the snapshot for LP Stimulus Package would be taken, and Season 2 begins immediately. This meant that all points earned in 2024 and the first half of 2025, will be separate from those earned from June 30th onwards. Further simplifying the points system is the removal of the TVL-points and DAMM V1 points, focusing only on Fees earned on DLMM and DAMM V2. Lastly, we have the release of the points checker on alongside a detailed write-up on how they’re calculated. View your points, understand how we got here, and get ready for what comes next.
