The thing I find weird about many "trad architecture" accounts is that they valorize this (which is, to be sure, a good aesthetic): And then they'll have you think this is bad: But they actually live like this: To be sure, I respect anyone who can afford to buy a home in this hostile market environment (truly, props to you). But when these accounts say that modernist architecture is built to deface beauty or drain the spirit ... is that not actually a better description of suburban tract homes?
