i listened to @naval’s 2-min mini-podcast “life is lived in an arena” again and again paired that with some old chats w my mentor and i realised - no amount of advice or podcasts will hand u a perfect path u won’t learn until u do i always got the q: how did u do all this at your age? i’d say: “i didn’t do smth different. i just started early” but that’s only part of it i walked into the arena. and just kept walking other day - my mentor said the real diff between me and others: “u got bullied on twitter for starting a company at 13 from india, u still went out, raised $300k, got rejected dozens of times the arena finetuned u” and then he said smth i’ll never forget: getting punched in the face by reality builds diff muscles than corporate feedback loops. that’s why ur advice matters. this hit deep. my interpretation of the pod: just do it the arena will teach u but always spend time with long term ppl
