Prediction: A Zohran Mamdani win in NYC this fall will lead to two things: 1) Vance winning in 2028 2) A Republican Mayor winning NYC in 2029

As odd as this sounds, I am starting to see the silver lining of a Mamdani win. Will New Yorkers feel the pain for four years? Yes. Will NY become less safe? Yes Will tons of capital flee the city? Yes. Will this be a much-needed wake-up call? Yes

Already, NYC is close to the ability to elect a Republican Mayor. 37% of New Yorkers voted for Trump. Frankly, I think if Sliwa were to swap out with someone experienced, we could watch the Dem vote get split three ways, and usher in a R-win.

I believe this is still possible, but I doubt Sliwa will do it unless there are very unusual circumstances (e.g., Trump calls him and offers him a job in DC). So - we are stuck with Sliwa, who has no business leading the city... (Sorry, Curtis).
