My journey into Crypto began a long time ago. 2013: In high school a friend at the time mentioned Bitcoin for the first time, in mention of the US government seizing the supply owned by Ross Ulbricht. That was where I first started reading about what it was and seeing its utility. 2016: In college, as a Computer Science major, I began to talk to others about cryptocurrencies as the topic was finally starting to gain more mainstream adoption. This was the first bull run I remember hearing about Bitcoin organically. Also this same year one of my roommates at the time first told me about @tyler and @cameron and their exchange, @Gemini 2017: Some colleagues of mine really get into crypto and the nature of exchanges. We start buying and selling more frequently, this is when I first created my account at @Gemini. Also this same year, a friend of mine and I participated in @BCG dAppathon where I developed my first application in Solidity: A hotel check-in system using Ethereum for transaction and resident management. 2018: These same group of friends and I start one of my greatest projects: CryptoSym. A paper trading cryptocurrency exchange platform (now defunct 🪦). I was the CTO of the project, and a lot of the site's design was modeled after @Gemini's funnily enough. This same year, I began to really research cryptocurrencies, I even designed my own class at my University with one of the best professors I ever had to discuss the design and utility of Blockchains. 2020: While I was not working in the crypto industry up to this point, I was still an avid participant and follower of the news and markets. I moved to New York in the early part of the year to start my new job at @Gemini, where I was interviewed by some of the most brilliant engineers I had ever met: @eric_winer @aris_agdere among them 2025: Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency world is now a household discussion topic, @Gemini is the best Cryptocurrency exchange in the world, and I have had to privilege of working alongside all of those same developers, calling them my peers and friends instead of just coworkers. We develop some of the best features on the market, and I play a direct role in shaping the future of finance. At this point the skies the limit. I wouldn't have my life path changed in any way, I feel like I am at exactly where I am supposed to be. I couldn't be happier being apart of @Gemini, and the future is nothing but orange.
