Today marks the TGE for one of the most ambitious L2 projects to date. Eclipse is bringing Solana-speed UX to Ethereum-scale liquidity, and we’re proud to have led its Series A. 🧵 Why we backed Eclipse early:
Solana’s execution engine (SVM) is best-in-class. It’s fast, parallelized, and cheap. But it’s siloed from the deepest pools of crypto capital on Ethereum. Eclipse fixes this. It’s a modular L2 that runs the SVM, settles to Ethereum, and scales with Celestia.
This means: 1. Solana devs get access to Ethereum liquidity without rewriting in Solidity 2. Ethereum users get Solana UX without giving up ERC-20 composability 3. Eclipse’s modular infra (DA, proving) can evolve over time without a hard fork
Mainnet is live with over 60 apps, including top Solana apps like Orca and Save. TVL is already over $180M. Eclipse can now be the go-to home for high-performance DeFi, games, and social apps that EVM chains can’t handle.
Congrats to @0xLitquidity and the @EclipseFND team. ✔️Performance ✔️Composability ✔️Flexibility ✔️Real dev traction This is what modular done right looks like.
