What does this mean?

Similar to how Ethereum created a whitespace by introducing smart contracts, Nillion is creating a whitespace by introducing decentralized, private compute (Blind Compute).
White spaces are hard to grasp. So, let’s break it down:
In the case of smart contracts, the Ethereum ecosystem brought over 200 million users into crypto.
Now, imagine what happens when Blind Compute allows all 200 million+ users to use decentralized, private compute and storage on-chain for the first time.
1⃣ Users want their privacy: the internet as we know it uses out-of-date encryption that doesn’t allow for data to remain private while it’s being sent or used. Blind Computation keeps data private from end-to-end. The Nillion Network is positioning itself to be the backbone for a better internet.

Phase 0: Production-Ready Privacy (July 2025)
This phase strengthens the network, unlocks decentralized permissions, and adds support for leading AI models.
In short, it activates a new layer of private infrastructure for the future intelligent internet.
Phase 1: General Compute (Late 2025)
At the heart of this phase is the integration between nilDB and nilCC.
Developers can now run private computation in nilCC that reads from and writes to data stored in nilDB, bringing storage and compute together in one secure flow.
Phase 2: Default Privacy UX (Early 2026)
This phase unlocks a developer experience so seamless, builders will choose Nillion by default.
The goal is to make Blind Compute the MOST exciting place to build, and to make privacy the new norm.
