What’s fascinating about TBPN is that no individual episode gets tons of listens but the sheer quantity of great clips means you see them everywhere. People said there were too many podcasts but TBPN started recording 3-4 hours a day and now it looks obvious in retrospect. Perhaps one lesson is to either put out fewer content pieces that are must-listens (eg Acquired) or a ton of content pieces that are also high quality and relevant (TBPN). Don’t get caught in the middle where it’s not great enough content to be a must-listen and not enough quantity to be super relevant/distributed widely.
