Yes, and. They consistently shipped meaningful / big products with incredible velocity.
Momentum as a Moat in action.

Lovable used 12 channels at once to explode to $50M ARR, growing by 1,500 customers per day.
Here’s how they did it:

BREAKING: OpenAI just launched GPT-5
Faster than GPT-4o, smarter than o3, and free for all users -- it's OpenAI’s most factual, reliable model to date.
GPT-5 is also OpenAI’s most reliable model yet for health. The upgrade will be a major intelligence boost to the world.

My theory was that GPT 5 will include what I see as the AI Apps trend of the year "Prompt to Apps".
Of course on live demo, the OAI team built a French language learning game ala @lovable.
Of course the @lovable team was already on it.
Momentum as a moat.

The @elevenlabsio music model is super impressive (or I had extraordinary luck in my first few generations):
It's able to generate obscure styles that the other models overfit, i.e. "1990s deep house" tends to otherwise get overfit as "EDM", which sounds like trash.
This is *great* - check out my generated track below:

AI therapy is actually helping people connect more deeply with others.
"Human connections are insanely important. You can't replace that."
The real question is: how is tech replacing human connection and can AI help rebuild it.

I grew up in Korea, where annual checkups are common.
I personally experienced what it’s like when therapy helps your life and how hard it is to access.
On the pod this week, I talk to two founders - @swerdlin + @danielreidcahn - building outside the system and changing lives in the process:
@function gives people deep lab testing and data to live 100 healthy years.
@slingshotai_inc is building AI therapy that’s actually helpful and can increase human connection.
A deeply personal conversation where we touch on trust, behavior change, and why more people are finally taking control of their own health.

Founder origin stories:
“It was hard to believe how bad medicine was as as a product. I had to spend tens of thousands of dollars and over a hundred hours to get near parity with where Function was at an MVP level.” - @swerdlin
“The vast majority of people just don't have access to any kind of care at all... If AI has an ability to help people, we have a responsibility to do everything we can.” - @danielreidcahn
