It's interesting to see how many people in OpenAI's Reddit AMA refer to losing GPT-4o as losing a friend even though GPT-5 is a better model from a benchmark POV. For normal people, the model's personality seems to matter more than coding or any other capability. fwiw I think GPT-5's personality is fine.

Ok I've been using GPT-5 for writing tonight and I love that it offers to do more work at the end of each response. Plus the work that it offers to do is often exactly what's on my mind.
