Future Outlook on Solana > Solana is the breeding ground for hyper-speculative trading markets, representing a crypto-anarchy state where you can trade anything and everything which you can put in words, and images. > Solana needs a reputation system in place to address the bad actors problem to some extent, moving away from the anarchy state. If they figure something out, Solana might be able to reach 1B transactions per day at some point, with most of it coming from all sorts of hyper-speculative markets being run on the Solana blockchain. > I don't see a battle between ETH L1 and Solana now. Solana has already proven to be the better and more scalable choice for building apps that could attract a larger section of the community, and it has all sorts of adoption metrics indicating that success. It’s more about ETH L2s versus Solana in terms of retail adoption. For now, Base is leading ETH L2, but tomorrow it could be any megarollup, so no clear winner has been found in L2s, in my opinion. People will move from Base too if they find better opportunities outside of it. Both retail L2s like Base and Solana are serving the same audience, which cares less about loyalty and more about rewards. New primitives and gamified markets could keep switching the crowd from one chain to another. > Solana has a growing demand for staking too. Solana's staking yield is much better than ETH's right now. Solana DATs are being formed already, with around $1.5B worth of capital allocated so far by companies like DeFicorp, Upexi, etc. > Solana will attract demand from staked ETFs as well, which would eventually make SOL valuable over time among institutional investors. > In RWAs, Solana is clearly lagging compared to Ethereum. Around 5% of stablecoins are on Solana right now, while Ethereum has around 52.8%. I think Solana might not be able to overtake Ethereum in stablecoin dominance, but that doesn't mean they can't capture some of Ethereum's share. Largely, I believe Solana will power the crypto-anarchy state, while Ethereum will power the crypto-authoritarian state. Quite the opposite of how people used to perceive these L1s a few years ago.
