People can’t even handle small changes. AI personality is a big change. The smart move is to do it subtly. A story about a yellow background at eBay: “eBay once had a website, which had yellow as its background colour. This visual might remind you of it. A very old version of eBay So suddenly as the brand was revamping, they changed the yellow to white. What happened next was not expected! There were thousands and thousands of mails hitting the mailbox about why the company changed the background colour! Now it seems so obvious that white is the better choice, but back then, it was a change for the users, a change that they weren’t ready to accept! So here’s what eBay did. They reverted the background colour to yellow, and with every passing day they changed the colour shade by 1 level! In a year’s time, the eBay website had white background, and the users had no complains!”

3/ TEN is a Layer-2 rollup running the EVM inside TEEs, secure hardware enclaves for encrypted smart contract execution. This enables “programmable privacy,” allowing contracts to process sensitive data without public exposure, while remaining fully EVM-compatible. By batching data to Ethereum for security and executing private logic off-chain, developers can build dApps with public interfaces and encrypted internals, no ZK required.

These days I get much more excited about open-weights AI models with good *editing* functionality than those that are just for creating from scratch.

Just attended my first defcon. Over the last few months, I've been traveling around meeting people broadly under the "security & privacy" umbrella in an attempt to solve some problems that don't fit into my corner of "crypto". My biggest takeaway by far has been that no one speaks to each other. Different groups will literally be working on the same problem, but use different terms and approaches - hardly aware of each other. We all have such misconceptions about the problems that other groups face or think are important. A particularly unfortunate example of this is how much synergy is left on the table because "crypto" has a bad name in a lot of communities. Having come up in the infra corner of Ethereum, I didn't realise just how widespread dislike, distrust and misconceptions have spread throughout should be our allies. There's so much potential energy left to be unlocked by bringing the right people together

So we now have more information. The minister of internal affairs of Turkey is saying I helped people misuse @ethereum. I’m fully open to cooperate with any authorities from Turkey or any country, we didn’t help anybody do anything, but we will also defend ourselves.

Hot take from my panel on decentralized AI at UC Berkeley: Your data is worthless. The idea that you'll get rich selling your data to train AI is a fantasy.
