It's really exciting times in Ethereum DeFi I actually think we are getting closer to a point where spot trading as a primitive will be superior on-chain vs CEX. Why? Two big shifts: 1) Fixing LVR (loss versus rebalancing) Today, on chain AMMs leak value to arbitrage that exploit the difference between market prices evolving between blocks. For L2s with low block latency this is less of an issue but with Ethereum 12 second block times this is more significant. If LPs captured this arbitrage value, they could profitably lower fees. Projects like @angstromxyz are already working on this by building on Uniswap v4 hooks, auctioning arbitrage off‑chain and paying proceeds back to LPs. Nice episode on this with @hasufl and @0xvanbeethoven here 2) Unparalleled AMM capital efficiency @0xfluid pioneers a deep integration between money markets and AMM DEX leading to new levels of capital efficiency for market makers, explained in detail in the quoted tweet. This type of efficiency is only possible through deep composability which is not possible within a off chain context. TL;DR @angstromxyz fixing LVR + Fluid DEX v2’s capital efficiency could make on‑chain spot trading the best venue for traders. Imo it would make sense for angstrom to build on Fluid dex v2 hooks, otherwise someone else will or Fluid themselves will capture that value
