Past Imperfect is an experimental AI photography collection that blurs the boundaries between memory, imagination, and reality. In its first set, I journeyed back into my own past—specifically the hazy, grain-soaked world of my 1980s memories—and attempted to recreate moments that have lived only in my mind for decades. Each image is both familiar and strange, shaped by the limitations of recollection and the interpretive nature of AI. The result is a fusion of personal history and machine creativity, where truth and fiction intertwine. This collection is about more than nostalgia—it’s about pushing the limits of what’s possible when technology becomes a collaborator in memory-making. Through AI, I’ve been able to access scenes, moods, and fragments that would be impossible to capture in the physical world, yet feel deeply real.
