Luminiflora Radiancea, named from Latin 'lumen' (light), 'flora' (flower), and 'radiancea' (radiant glow), is a rare bioluminescent plant native to tropical caves. It features translucent, ruffled petals in dense clusters emitting blue-green light (450-495nm), with pale bases and orange pollen enhancing contrast. Slender stems (15-30cm) sway gently, aiding pollination by nocturnal insects attracted to its glow. Bioluminescence is driven by luciferin-luciferase reactions near petal edges and reproductive organs. Adapted to cool (5-20°C), shaded, humid cave microhabitats, it belongs to the Luminous Glacies cluster, related to genus Luminiflora in an unclassified bioluminescent flora family. It supports cave pollinator populations and contributes to cave bioluminescent ecosystems.
