What does it mean to be human? Perhaps the answer lies in how we treat those who cannot defend themselves with words. We call ourselves civilized, yet some still find pleasure in killing animals for entertainment. What kind of satisfaction comes from taking a life that poses no threat? What kind of achievement is there in turning another creature’s death into a trophy? This artwork uses irony to expose the absurdity of hunting as a leisure activity — a practice in which killing is celebrated as sport, and suffering becomes invisible behind tradition, pride, and a photograph. True humanity is not measured by power over the vulnerable, but by compassion towards them. Animals are not trophies. Their lives are not entertainment. Perhaps the world does not need saving from nature. Perhaps it needs saving from the way we treat it.
