Remus is a Cane Corso, heavy as old stone and softer than the posture suggests. Anyone within earshot of Remus eventually hears the theory that the sealed doors are listening for a password the pups already say daily. Pups recognise Remus from the back, which is a compliment in The Yard whether or not it sounds like one. Somewhere under the noise, Remus carries one promise made to the Endless Track and means to keep it quietly.
