Caring does not mean dissolving. It means being fully intact while holding space for someone else. It is not the same as fixing. Not the same as pleasing. It is presence without control. Attention without agenda. Willingness to stay near what is raw without needing it to resolve. Caring costs you comfort. It asks for time, restraint, and energy with no guaranteed return. But it gives you something else. It anchors you in your humanity. It keeps your spirit supple instead of sharp. To care is to make yourself available without vanishing. To stay open without losing your shape. To carry love without needing to be thanked.
