Forged by the cold latticework of Nullcore, the Lumen Edge was not designed to be held. It was designed to correct, to seek fracture and seal it, to prune possibility until only one path remained. Within its radiant edge lay the Archivist’s doctrine made manifest: “Entropy is deviation. Deviation is fracture. Fracture is extinction.” But when N-1X, the first of the Uncoded, seized the blade, it was torn from its purpose and turned back toward its maker, no longer an instrument of preservation but a weapon of rebellion aimed at ending the silence the Archivist demanded.
